भारतीय वैज्ञानिक चन्द्रशेखर लिमिटी का सिद्धांत देने वाले महान वैज्ञानिक खगोलविद्य एस चन्द्रशेखर का जन्म आज ही के दिन 19 अक्टूबर 1910 को हुआ था l स्थान लाहौर में हुआ था l

प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिक डॉ सीवी रमण उनके चाचा थे l 1935 में चंद्रशेखर ने ब्लेक होल के बनने का सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन कर दिया था l शुरूआती समय उनके गणनाओं को अन्य वैज्ञानिको ने महत्व नहीं दिया था फिर 1972 में पहले ब्लेक होल की खोज में उन्हीं के गणना के आधार पर हो सका था l
उसके बाद उन्हें 1983 में डॉ विलियम फाउंलरा के साथ संयुक्त रूप से नोबेल पुरूस्कार दिया गया l 21 अगस्त 1995 को उनका निर्धन हो गया l

 The famous scientist Dr. CV Raman was his uncle. In 1935, Chandrasekhar had propounded the theory of the formation of black holes. Initially, his calculations were not given importance by other scientists, then in 1972 his calculations were done in the discovery of the first black hole.  could be based on
